According to ESPN and Yahoo’s sources, Mayweather’s camp has agreed to the terms of a March 13th fight with Manny Pacquiao. After talks with Mayweather’s representatives, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum flew to the Philippines on Wednesday to present the contract to his fighter–a good sign that Pacquiao’s camp will also agree.
The news follows what’s already been a newsworthy week for Pacquiao. On Tuesday, he officially announced his candidacy for the 2010 congressional elections in the Philippines–a decision that pushed the proposed fight date from May 1st up to March 13th. Also on Tuesday, Pacquiao’s steroid test results from his Nov. 14th bout with Miguel Cotto came back negative (surely much to the chagrin of Mayweather’s camp). Rumors also circulated of Pacquiao moving up yet another weight class to fight middleweight title-holder Yuri Foreman.
That’s all well and good, but Pacquiao vs. Mayweather is the fight fans want to see. Interest in the match-up has grown with the individual success of each fighter. Online, fans have created videos promoting what some have called “The ‘Real’ Dream Match” (a play off of the promo line from the Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya fight). If he wants to go into politics, it is his choice. WHO ARE YOU to tell him what to do. True, politics are dirty, but we need people with DISCIPLINE and DEDICATION ON WHAT THEY DO in the government. Persons like Manny Pacquiao are not afraid of failure and criticism. For persons like Manny, people who’re afraid of failure don’t deserve to be successful. He has done so much for us Filipinos. We were labeled as “dark outside, white inside”, domestic helpers, corrupt government, etc. but because of Manny, we get something to be proud of, guys like Brandon Vera and Dave Batista wears the Philippine colors. Pacquiao is such an intelligent person that he was able to change the history of boxing at the age of 30. If in boxing, he is ultimately good, then he could do better in politics…maybe change the country’s history too…He wanted political change and he is wise enough to know that if you want to change something, you need to be part of its system…

It’s like Floyd said himself in an interview. “Boxing is trying to create a fighter to beat me.” Everyone in the world of boxing hates Floyd because of his mouth. Well I hate to break the news to everyone but Floyd is going to shockingly dominate this fight. I am glad that Manny has brought so much attention on one of my favorite sports and that this fight could bring boxing back from the brink. But there is no way Manny will beat the most acurate puchers the sport has ever seen. Just not possible. Another dominating performance for “Money” Mayweather.

No one can withstand the fists and speed of Pacman, no, not even Floyd Mayweather. Pacman’s ultimate skill will be displayed in such upcoming “fight of the century.” Pacman by KO in 7-8.
This is the biggest fight of our generation. Maybe of the one before it and after.
Pacquiao really has nothing to prove at this point and neither does Mayweather. This (hopefully) is going to be a fight that is strictly about who is better; about who is the BEST.
I am a filipino american, and as such, am rooting for Manny Pacquiao. Also, I think Floyd Mayweather is probably one of the most naturally talented boxers that we’ve ever seen and, sadly, the biggest CRYBABY punk bitch ass cocksucker that anyone has ever seen. This being said, though I am a Pacquiao FAN and supporter, I believe Mayweather is the only boxer that can convincingly beat Manny Pacquiao. But for the record, I hope Manny hits him in his mouth so hard, that he won’t ever be able to talk correctly again (kind of like his father) so we don’t ever have to hear his rich bitch crybaby ass ever again. And even if Manny does lose, he’ll have done it big and with class, which is one thing Mayweather will never have.
