The Fight Should Happen in Los Angeles

The fight is reportedly set, the fighters are locked in, and the fans are counting down to March 13 to witness the biggest fight of the past twenty years. The mega-bout between Manny Pacquiao  and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will undoubtedly be an event bigger than any Super Bowl, any awards show, or even your niece’s baptism.

This is an international event and it should be treated as such so it’s vital to get a proper location for the fight. The new Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, and Staples Center are all possible venues.

Staples Center just offered $20 million for the mega-fight and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium is reportedly out of the running. But who knows? With an event like this, the one who really has the final say is the one who holds the biggest bank account.

I personally think Los Angeles is the better fit. For starters, it’s the entertainment capital of the world. The celebs are already here and L.A has the best tacos north of Tijuana — plus you don’t feel as dirty and skanky as you would if it was held in Vegas. Also, L.A. has the most Filipinos per capita, and Staples Center is really the prettiest stadium out of all the available. Dallas is too smelly, New York is too far (for me), and Las Vegas is so 2009.

Where do you want the fight to be?

Who cares if celebs are already there…? They will travel and be at important world class events like they always do. L.A. as a city isn’t really a very friendly city for travellers or a city by my personal definition…LA is not built for pedestrian Traffic, unlike NYC…which is one of the main standards of a functional city for the common person. LA fails that test miserably and I don’t personally consider Los Angeles a classic city in that sense…You want epic?…You want Legendary? What more could you ask for in NYC? The City itself is a The Draw…walking around NYC is an awesome experience…unlike walking around in LA…who wants to get caught walking in LA? lol……YOu want epic, you want legendary?…You want NYC…having said that…my first choice for a city to host the bout would be Manila….

i want it to be in dallas but let it be wherever it would be,it won’t change any result.no doubt pacman will win even if mayweather gives his best defense.every owner of the venues are placing their best offers because they want to be part of the immortality of the biggest fight ever (perhaps of the century)which the world awaits
