In response to the overwhelming outcry that Miguel Cotto is too big for Manny Pacquiao, The National Fist Dot Com decided to bust out our mediocre Photoshop skills and create a tale of the tape of the two boxers. Suprisingly, Miguel isn’t as gigantic as we thought. Manny is only an inch shorter. I think the real discrepancy lies in the walking weight of the two boxers. We’re sure Manny’s walking weight is somewhere in the lower 140 lb. range, while Miguel is in the lower to mid 150 lb. range.
The frame size seems to be another discrepancy. Reports show that Manny’s waistline is at least 4 inches smaller than Miguel’s. The most important factor, we believe, is the reach. Both clock in at 67″.

Manny just took this fight because Gayweather was too scared to fight him. They have been trying to get a fight against loudmouth assbag gayweather. This will be a tune-up fight for Manny Pacquiao to put more pressure to Gayweather or PBF (not pretty boy floyd) (PRETTY BORING FLOYD) to accept a fight with him. Gayweather should start fighting and not just using his elbow and running skills in a so-called boxing match. He knows people are asking for Gayweather-Pacman fight or Gayweather-Mosley. Instead, he chose to box against Marquez, a great boxer but a natural lightweight. Maybe nextr time, he’ll call out Calderon next or maybe he wants to fight Nonito Donaire or Brian Viloria instead of Pacquiao. He like to pick smaller guys for his opponents.

I cannot believe the knuckleheads in this thread, does anyone here know anything about boxing? Let’s recall Manny’s career, an excellent one indeed but remember that he was KO twice and had a hard time against Marquez. As you know Marquez is not known for speed. Manny started hes carries at 107 and the highlights of his career came at bantam, feather and super feather weight divisions. The light, junior and welter weight divisions are practically unknown territory for him. He took on a weary and old De La Hoya and then an already damaged Ricky Hatton. A Hatton that proved he did not belong to the welterweight division when he faces Luis Collazo. So let’s put this puzzle together, Cotto a true Welter weight that have faced renown opposition throughout his career should win this fight by KO, no buts about it. Cotto is excellent at combinations where the Pacman lacks the talent. The best weapon in hand for the Pacman is his flashy straight left. Those that have followed Pacman’s career should know that it wasn’t until Freddy Roach picked him up that he learned to use a bit of the hook and upper cut. An ugly uppercut that comes from to far and out of reach. Given that they are equal on reach, all Cotto needs to do is neutralize the straight and wait for the obvious mistake from the Pacman. The Pacman simply cannot combine counter punching and offensively he certainly cannot put them together without compromising defense. Cotto should win the fight by KO entering the eight and at the latest the ninth. If Cotto come aggressive forcing Pacquiao back he can take the fight much earlier. So I say to those that comment without any boxing knowledge, get a life or learn by been a real box fan.
